OASIS Hub members gathered in Cambridge

On Friday 4 April 2025, researchers from across the three collaborating universities, UCL, Imperial, and Cambridge, gathered for the much-anticipated OASIS Hub Launch Meeting. Hosted by the Cambridge team, the meeting set the foundation for our collaboration in imaging research and its translation into clinical impact.

The meeting kicked off with introductions from attendees, highlighting their diverse expertise. Co-Directors Dan Stoyanov, Sarah Bohndiek, and Dan Elson then laid out the vision of the OASIS Hub: a focus on advancing imaging technologies through interdisciplinary collaboration. Plans are already in motion to engage external partners and explore funding opportunities for early-stage projects.

Each collaborating institution shared updates on their latest research and before breaking for lunch, key challenges were identified for post-lunch breakout discussions. These were:

  • Measurement Standardisation

  • Algorithms and Data Management

  • Bottlenecks in Translation

  • Strategy for Engagement

The breakout discussions were especially fruitful with plenty of concrete actions set in place.

The OASIS Hub Launch marks the beginning of an exciting 6-year-long journey towards integrating image research into clinical workflows. Stay tuned as we continue to develop this initiative, fostering innovation and collaboration across disciplines!
